How On Earth was started by Margie and Michael Baldwin in 2007. As founders of the Marion Institute, they were keenly interested in sustainable communities and the role that food and local farming played. The original concept was to provide the community with a CSA distribution site ( where shares of locally grown produce are picked up by shareholders on a weekly basis).
As interest grew and others wanted fresh food, more products were provided and a kitchen was added to make our own food. Today we continue to be mindful as many of our products are sourced locally and/or organically. We have grown to become a one stop shop for all of your local and sustainable grocery needs. We serve lunch Monday- Saturday 11-3 pm and offer catering as well. We have added a community kitchen for local entrepreneurs to make their products for sale in our store as well as other wholesale markets.
Whats Local Now?
Dinners have begun! Every Thursday & Friday night we’ll be serving up seasonal, coastal fare. Everything from local pasture raised chicken, stripped bass, local broccoli, summer squash & peas! (5:30-9 pm)
BULK is BACK! ~ We’ve got a nice assortment of nuts, beans & dried fruits. There’s even some dish & laundry soap. Feel free to bring in your own jars, just be sure to have them weighed at the front before filling.
